Die diesjährige Frühjahrsschulung in Paderborn führt Masterstudierende, Doktorandinnen und Doktoranden aus Barcelona, Florenz, Karlsruhe, Marseille und Paderborn zusammen. Eingeladene Vorträge umfassen die Themen hochauflösende Mikroskopie, photonische Kristalle, Quantenoptik, Leuchtdioden und Photovoltaik auf der Basis von Halbleiternanostrukturen, ultrakurze Lichtpulse in optisch nichtlinearen Materialien und integrierte Photonik für schnelle optische Datenübertragung. Sie wird vom Erasmus Mundus Programm der EU und von der DFG (GRK 1464) gefördert.

The spring school 2015 in Paderborn brings master students and Ph. D. candidates from Barcelona, Florence, Karlsruhe, Marseille and Paderborn together. Invited lectures cover the subjects high-resolution microscopy, photonic crystals, quantum optics, light emitting diodes and photovoltaics based on semiconductor nanostructures, ultra-short light-pulses in optically nonlinear media and integrated photonics for fast optical communication. The meeting is funded by the Erasmus Mundus program of the European Union and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (GRK 1464).
